SRINAGAR, May 22: With a view to improve the standards of education towards the deprived segments of society and orphans of Kelam region, Army on the request of Aukaf Board Kelam adopted Hanfia Middle School.
An Army spokesman said that the school which is mostly subscribed by poor children including orphans is deprived of regular financial assistance from the Aukaf Committee.
He said a special event was organized in which bench, tables, computers, stationery and sports items were distributed. “On this occasion, Army officials interacted with the students and stressed on the importance of education and motivated them to work hard to achieve success in future. The event witnessed huge attendance and was highly appreciated by the Aukaf Board president, School Headmaster, teaching staff and locals,” he said.
