Arms recovered in Kalakote

JAMMU, July 10: Troops of Rashtriya Rifles today recovered a consignment of arms and ammunition from Lal Thandapani forests in Kalakote tehsil of Rajouri district.
Troops conducted search operation in the forests after developing specific inputs that a consignment of arms and ammunition had been hidden in the forests.
Recoveries included one AK-56 rifle, six AK magazines, 182 AK rounds, one Pakistan made 30 bore semi automatic pistol, a circuit box, two rounds of Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG), 10 Pika rounds and one ammunition pouch.
Troops conducted searches in the forests after making the recoveries. However, no suspicious movement was observed in the area.
No arrests have been made in connection with the recoveries.
