JAMMU, Aug 17: Army and police today busted a hideout of the militants and recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition at village Tandar in Kishtwar district.
The hideout was discovered and subsequently busted during a joint operation conducted by troops of 17 Rashtriya Rifles and local police on the basis of Intelligence inputs.
Recoveries made from the hideouts included one 12 bore rifle, one muzzle loader rifle, one AK magazine, 61 rounds of AK-47, one magazine of 9mm pistol, two rounds of 12 bore ammunition, one RPG round, three Chinese grenades, two Austrian make grenades, one grenade of Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), one I Com radio set with antenna, one Kenwood radio set, one binocular and one matrix sheet of Hizbul Mujahideen.
Army and police conducted searches in the village after making the recoveries. However, no arrests were made from the spot.
