JAMMU: Troops of Rashtriya Rifles along with Police on Tuesday recovered cache of arms and ammunition in Surankote area of Poonch district.
SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral here said that Rashtriya Rifle troops of Army along with police party of Police Station Surankote this afternoon launched a joint search operation in the general area of Lassana forest.
“During search operation a cache was busted and war like stores was recovered,” he added.
The SSP added that during search one unserviceable Chinese Pistol, one Pistol Magazine, one 9 mm Pistol round and 213 rounds of AK47 have been recovered.
A case under FIR No 129/2019 under section 7/25 of Arms Act was registered and investigation taken up. (AGENCIES)
