Appointments of 90 MOs cancelled

JAMMU, Feb 27: Government has cancelled temporary appointments of 90 Medical Officers (MOs) in J&K Health and Family Welfare (Gazetted) Service on account of their failure to join their duties within prescribed period of time.
According to the Government order issued in this connection, 153 candidates was temporary appointed as MOs in J&K Health and Family Welfare Department vide Government Order number 56-JK (HME) of 2021 dated 22-01-2021, on the recommendations of J&K Public Service Commission and they were posted in different hospitals across J&K.
“The appointees had to submit their joining reports physically to their concerned DDOs within a period of 21 days from the date of issuance of their appointment order but 90 candidates failed to submit their joining reports within the stipulated period, therefore their appointments is cancelled,” the order stated.
It further added that out of 90 MOs whose appointments have been cancelled, 24 are from Kashmir province and 66 from Jammu province.
