Apni Party seeks compensation for fire victims

SRINAGAR, May 19: The Jammu Kashmir Apni Party has expressed deep sorrow over the fire incident at Lati Mohalla inside Dal Lake in Srinagar, wherein five residential houses were burnt after they caught fire on Wednesday evening.
Party president Altaf Bukhari today visited the spot and met the victim families. After taking stock of the situation, the Apni Party leader expressed his deep grief over the loss in the incident. He said in such a difficult hour, Apni Party stands in solidarity with the affected families.
He urged the LG’s administration to announce compensation to the fire victims so that they could rebuild their houses. He said, “it takes common man many years and sometimes a complete lifetime to build a house, however, such an unfortunate incident all of a sudden ruins everything to the ashes.”
Bukhari was accompanied by Junaid Azim Mattu, president Apni Party Youth Wing and Srinagar Mayor; Yawar Dilawar Mir, Youth leader and former MLA; Noor Mohammad, former MLA; Khalid Rathore, provincial president Kashmir, JKAP Youth and others.
