JAMMU, Jan 05: Apni Party provincial president, Jammu, Manjit Singh today paid rich tribute to the martyr Naik Rajinder Kumar who laid down his life in the line of duty in Machail.
To remember the martyr, father of the martyr Indian Army soldier namely Tara Chand Ji, villagers, and prominent people of the village had organized a programme at the memorial of martyr Naik Rajinder Singh in his memory at village Chak Bagta in Rajpura in Samba district.
On this occasion, Manjit Singh garlanded the statue of the martyr soldier and highlighted his contribution to the nation.
He recalled that the soldier had laid down his life while fighting for the country in Machail four years back.
“His life is an example for the youth,” he said and advised the misguided youth to join mainstream and contribute towards nation building.
He said that the nation and its borders are safe because of the Indian Army and soldiers like Rajinder Kumar who laid down their lives for the people of the country. Therefore, he appealed to the people to give honour and respect to the families of the martyrs and follow their footsteps.
Besides, parents of the martyr soldier, Raman Sharma, Mangat Ram, and others from the village were also present.
