JAMMU, June 7: Apni Party provincial secretary and district president Jammu Urban, Dr Rohit Gupta has demanded revival of the industrial sector and extension of Government package to the industries in Jammu and Kashmir.
The demand was raised today by the Apni Party leaders led by dr Rohit Gupta during a meeting with members of Federation of Industries (FoI) Bari Brahmana. Provincial Secretary Apni Trade Union Jammu Daljit Singh was also accompanying Dr Rohit Gupta.
Dr Gupta demanded amnesty for the industrial sector of J&K for the recovery under central excise in the matter of notification number 56/2002 dated 14/11/2002 and waive off of the interest and deposit of principal amount in installments.
“The extension of industrial packages should be given to the existing units as is given to the new industrial units. He also demanded free land hold rights to the SIDCO and SICOP land to the existing unit holders.
He appealed the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene in the matter. He assured the FoI members that their issues will be forwarded to Apni Party president Syed Altaf Bukhari for taking up at the highest level.
The meeting was attended by Chairman FoI Lalit Mahajan, general secretary Viraj Mahajan, president of Birpur Industrial Association Deepak Dhavan, secretary Rajesh Jain and other industrialists.
