JAMMU, Mar 25: Art of Living (AoL) Jammu today organized a certificate distribution ceremony for PMKVY RPL Yoga Trainer programme at NITS Polytechnic, Miran Sahib and Jammu wherein 76 successful candidates belonging to various walks of life were given the certificates.
Savinder Gupta, Chairman NITS Polytechnic, Dr. Naresh Chopra, B.R Gupta, Mahaveer Gupta and V.K Soni were the guests of honour.
Anirudh Gupta, Coordinator SSRDP J&K while welcoming the guest said Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneu-rship (MSDE).
Individuals with prior learning experience or skills are assessed and certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component of the scheme.
A handout stated that RPL Yoga is a platform to provide recognition to the informal learning or learning through practice of Yoga to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of Yoga education.
“MSDE conducted recognition of prior learning certification on the job role Yoga Trainer for 3 days (Yoga Orientation with assessment) on 7th, 8th and 9th December 2018.This happened for the first time in J&K state. AoL teachers and those practicing yoga were eligible for this course. This certification has certified them as Yoga Trainers under PMKVY which is nationally & internationally recognized certification,” said Ajay Kapoor State coordinator-Art of Living Bureau of communication.
