AOI organizes free cancer screening camp

DODA, May 17: American Oncology Institute (AOI), ASCOMS Hospital Jammu today organized a free cancer screening and awareness camp in association with World Cancer Care at community hall, Doda.
In the cancer screening camp, more than 200 patients were screened and examined by Dr Nadeem Showket (Medical Oncologist) from AOI Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Neeraj Bishnoi, Regional COO, AOI, “Besides conducting screening tests at the camp, we wanted to educate and create awareness about early detection in the public. The key to surviving cancer is early diagnosis and prevention. With this camp, American Oncology Institute aims to motivate people and urge regular screening. We are committed to offering best-in-class clinical expertise, technological superiority, and service excellence for patients in the Jammu & Kashmir region.”
Aditya Sabharwal, Regional Marketing Head (North) for AOI, said that in its continued efforts to bring in the most advanced technology in Cancer Care to the region, AOI is coming up with one of the most advanced Radiotherapy Machine, HALCYON E at AOI Jammu unit in next one month and it will be the first ever such machine installed in the whole of Jammu & Kashmir.
Those present at the camp were Dr M Y Mir (CMO Doda), Dr Yudhvir Singh (MS GMC Doda), Dr Nasir Masood Indrabi and Dr Hamid Parrey. As part of the organizing team of the mega camp, Dr Mayank Puri, Facility Director AOI Jammu and Vigat Chandan, Ashutosh Gupta, Anil Raina, Abhishek Jamwal and Vickey Dhar were also present along with the nursing and medical team of AOI Jammu and World Cancer Care.
