JAMMU, Jan 10: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Sanjay Dhar today framed corruption charges against Himmat Singh, son of Lashman Singh of Bishnah, Sardari Lal, son of Ami Chand of Bishnah, the then Patwaris Halqa Taraf Brahmana and Ala Din, son of Ibrahim for making fake entries in revenue records by way of fraudulent means.
According to the Crime Branch case, Mangat Ali, Jamal Din and Munir Hussain, sons of late Hasham Din lodged a complaint mentioning that their father was in possession of 44 kanals and 10 marlas of Shamlat Deh land in village Taraf Brahmana for the last about 40 years.
After the death of complainants’ parents, their tenant Lal Din, started threatening the complainants and staked claim for the whole land. He also got his name entered in the revenue record by fraudulent means.
During the course of investigation, Investigating Officer collected the revenue record pertaining to the land in question and also recorded the statements of prosecution witnesses including local who were aware of the facts under Section 161 Cr.PC.
The record so obtained was examined through FSL and expert opinion obtained. It was fully established that the accused persons have given undue benefits to the beneficiary by misusing their official position.
After completion of the investigation, challan was presented against all these accused and court today framed charges under different sections of RPC and Prevention of Corruption Act.
