RAMBAN, Oct 3: Police conducted anti-narcotics drive in the jurisdiction of Police Station Banihal and destroyed cannabis plantation.
The drive was conducted by SHO Banihal Inspector Mohd Afzal Wani under the close supervision of SDPO Banihal Nissar Khoja with the assistance of NGO Banihal Volunteers.
Later, SDPO Banihal briefed the civil society to stay away from the drugs and informed them about evil menace of drugs in the society and sought public cooperation in dealing with drugs abuse in the society.
Mohita Sharma SP Ramban has appealed to the public to support police in its drive against the drugs in district Ramban. These drugs are spoiling the future of nation and it is our collective responsibility to eradicate this menace from the society, she added.
