JAMMU, Oct 3: A woman was killed while her husband received serious injuries in accident near Gumpul here.
As per police sources, a couple received serious injuries after an unknown vehicle hit their motorcycle near Gumpul.
Both the injured were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared the woman as brought dead, while her husband was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The deceased was identified as Asha, a resident of Patoli Brahmana, while the injured was identified as her husband Ashok Kumar.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of GMCH for autopsy.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
