JAMMU, Feb 19: Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) J&K today conducted one day workshops on NDPS Act and related laws at District Police Lines (DPLs) Jammu and Baramulla. The workshops have been organised to aware the Investigation Officers with the latest techniques and standard practices to expedite the investigation and improve and ensure convictions in NDPS cases.
The workshops were attended by Ramneesh Gupta, SP Headquarters Jammu, Arun Jamwal, DySP ANTF Jammu SDPOs, SHOs, ICPPs and Investigation Officers of the districts.
At the begiginning of workshop, Vinay Shar aSSP ANTF J&K breifed the participants regarding present drug scenario investigations and other legal actions against drug dealers.
Presentatios were given by officers of ANTF on various aspects of NDPS Act and related laws and proceedures. Various topics of deliberations during the workshop were procedure and mandatory provisions of NDPS by Inspector Sanjeet Sharma, Financial Investigations in NDPS by Insp. Parvez Sajjad, routes and types of drugs by Insp. Ankush Chib and illicit crop distribution by Insp Varuneshwar Singh.
