SRINAGAR, Nov 22: A day after Governor Satya Pal Malik dissolved the Assembly, senior People’s Democratic Party leader Imran Raza Ansari today joined People’s Conference led by Sajjad Lone.
Ansari while announcing his joining PC said that 18 leaders will leave PDP in coming days. He said that PDP’s foundation was laid to end the dynasty rule in Kashmir. However, slowly and steady this party also became a family party.
“We had come on a platform only to provide an alternative to the dynasty rule”, Ansari said. He confirmed that he will contest assembly election on PC ticket.
Meanwhile People’s Conference Chairman Sajjad Lone wrote on twitter: “I welcome Ansari into the party. It is an emotional homecoming. Late Molvi Ifthikar Sahib was one of the founding members’ of PC along with my late father. Molvi Imran sahib is a mass leader and will be a leading light in the caravan of change.”
