Sir,
Kishtwar mishap of Scorpio wherein ten persons lost their lives, a couple of days back caused irreparable loss to the families concerned and the society as well. Obviously, their untimely departure from this world, for no fault of them, has left their children, wives and aged parents in acute bereavement. Extension of financial help is indeed a great human effort to console the deceased families, but measures like good roads, developing professionalism in driver-community, check on rash and negligent driving if ensured as a policy of road-safety, frequent incidents of such nature can be controlled. But forgetting everything soon after such tragedies by the authorities to adopt such measures cause recurrence of such happenings.
