Another jawan martyred

JAMMU, Apr 11: Pakistani troops today again violated ceasefire in Rajouri and Poonch districts in which an Army jawan was martyred at Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch on the Line of Control (LoC).
The Indian Army gave befitting reply to ceasefire violations by Pakistan, official reports said.
“Pakistani troops initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars along the LoC from 2 pm at Pandar Lam and Janghar in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district and from 4.45 pm in Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch district,” reports said.
The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively, leading to heavy exchange of fire between the two sides in which Pakistani troops were reported to have suffered casualties and damage, the details of which were not known.
An Indian Army soldier Naik Thorat Kiran Popatroo, 31, R/o Aurangabad, Maharashtra attained martyrdom in Pakistan shelling.
The latest ceasefire violation by Pakistan came after two soldiers, Rifleman Vinod Singh and Rifleman Jaki Sharma, were martyred in cross-border firing by Pakistan in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri on Monday.
Last Wednesday, an Army jawan was martyred and four others including a Lieutenant were injured in Poonch sector.
