KISHTWAR, June 21: Annual Urs Sharief of Hazarat Shah Farid-ud-Din Sahib at Ziarat complex in Kishtwar was celebrated with religious fervour today.
District Administration in collaboration with the Auqaf Islamia had made full arrangements for the peaceful and hassle free celebration of the annual Urs for which large number of devotees thronged the shrine.
District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Mohd Javed Khan had enjoined upon all the line departments’ functionaries to provide all facilities to the devotees including uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, essentials items, shamyanas, security, transport, sanitation on the occasion of the annual Urs Sharief at the shrine complex. ADC Kishtwar Mohd Hainef Malik and Tehsildar Phulail Singh were personally supervising the joint control room established at chowgan ground.
The town ship has been given facelift by the Municipal Committee Kishtwar to ensure festive look on the Urs celebration and a cleanliness drive has been underway as a part of arrangements decided by the district administration.
