Annual celebrations conclude at Ramakrishna Mission

JAMMU, Apr 28: The three-day long annual celebrations of Ramakrishna Mission (RKM), Jammu concluded here, today with rich insights on the Holy Trio – Swami Vivekananda, Sri Maa Sarada Devi and Sri Sri Thakur Ramakrishna Paramahansa.
The concluding ceremony, dedicated as Sri Ramakrishna Diwas, was celebrated with a large number of devotees and local people who gathered at the premises since early morning. The day started with devotees retreat (Bhakta Sammelan). A series of programmes were held during the celebrations.
Swami Tejomayananda Ji, secretary Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Gwalior presided over the function. He was felicitated by Swami Nirantaranandaji , secretary, RKM Jammu. In his presidential address Swamiji talked about the holy Mother’s life and narrated Ramakrishna’s reverence for her and how the Paramahansa accepted her as first disciple, which happens to be the foundation of Ramakrishna Math.
He said that holy Mother’s life was full of compassion, love and blessings to her children.
Swami Anantatmananda Ji, secretary Ramakrishna Ashram, Khetri enthralled the Bhakts with his melodious singing of Bhajan and devotional song. Earlier speaking on Swami Vivekananda, Swami Nirantaranandaji said that to attend the societal needs Ramakrishna picked Vivekananda since in him he could see the accomplishment of his mission. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, vice president, Srimat Vivekananda Forum spoke in Dogri about various activities undertaken by Jammu Ashrama for local people.
Earlier on April 26 and April 27 a series of religious and cultural events were organised at Ashram premises. The annual celebration was inaugurated by Swami Tejomayanandaji Maharaj of RKM, Gwalior with chanting of Vedic Mantras.
Dr. Sushma Sharma, HoD Dogri, University of Jammu delivered spiritual lecture in Dogri. A mesmerizing Bhajan Sandhya by Meet Kour, famous singer of Chandigarh and Swami Anantatnananda Ji saw huge gathering of Bhaktas.
