JAMMU, Feb 28: Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, Anand Nagar, Bohri, Jammu organized ‘Samohik Maha Shivratri’ Programme in an impressive and well attended function in Kendra premises, here today.
Swami Nirantaranand, Secretary Rama Krishna Mission, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Acharya Shiv Prasad Raina, president, ‘Archarya Abhinav Gupt Sahasbadi Samarov Samiti’  was the guest of honour and Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram, Muthi presided over the function.
Variety of cultural items were presented on the occasion, apart from devotional ‘bhajans’ sung by famous singers Naina Sapru and Shanti Lal Sidh. The bhajans smacked ecstatic feeling among all present on the occasion.
The programme began with Saraswati Vandana presented by the students of Government Higher Secondary School (Camp), Bohri, who were accompanied by the staff members including Smt Ragini,  Smt Sushima, Satish Bhat, Ashok Bhat and Ravi Raj.
On the occasion, the dignitaries released Annual Calendar of Sanjeevani Shardha Kendra dedicated to Acharya Abhinav Gupt.
The Office for organizing the year-long programmes and activities during the millinium year of  Acharya Abhinav Gupt was also released by the chief guest and the other dignitaries on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries threw light on the importance of Maha Shivrratri and spoke at length on Shavism and contributions of great Shivacharya, Acharya Abhinav Gupt.
The chief guest said, Acharya Abhnav Gupt was great scholar and an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
Earlier, Radheshyam presented welcome address, while Prof TN Shalla conducted the proceedings of the programme.
