KATHUA, Jan 15: Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, A K Angurana today visited Mahanpur in tehsil Basohli to take stock of various Centrally sponsored schemes besides feasibility of further strengthening of developmental infrastructure in the hilly and far flung areas of the district.
Mr Angurana visited Mahanpur and Billawar where he held meetings with the officers.
While chairing a meeting of officers at Mahanpur he sought suggestions from the officers for strengthening and upgrading the infrastructure for providing better facilities to the public.
During his tour of Billawar, Mr Angurana held a meeting with Sub Divisional Magistrate Billawar and Tehsil heads of various works and line departments to review the status of the various developmental projects and programmes of Rural Development, Tourism, Health, Education, PDD, PHE, PWD, PMGSY and CAPD Department.
Later, Mr Angurana held a meeting at Kathua which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner Development, Anshul Garg and other senior officers.
