JAMMU, Dec 27: Anganwari workers and helpers will hold a huge protest rally in support of their demands here near Press Club on January 15.
This was disclosed by Swarna Choudhary, president, Anganwari Workers’ Welfare Association (AWWA), during a press conference here today.
Highlighting main demands of the association like enhancement of salary of Anganwari workers and helpers, payment of salary on monthly basis, 100 percent promotion to Anganwari workers for the post of supervisor, she said that if their demands will be not fulfilled soon the association will stage a huge protest rally on January 15 at Press Club, Jammu.
She appealed all Anganwari workers and helpers to participate in large number in the protest to press the Government to fulfill their demands.
General secretary, AWWA, Neelam Sharma and general secretary, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, J&K, Ashok Choudhary, were also present on the occasion.
