JAMMU, July 28: Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today took stock of the arrangements on the eve of the annual Urs celebrations at the shrine of Shahdra Sharief.
Upon reaching at the shrine in Rajouri today, she was accorded a warm welcome by the local administration, Waqf officers, and public delegations.
Chairing a meeting with the Waqf Board staff, representatives of Government departments, and prominent civil society, she sought coordination among all for smooth conduct of the Urs tomorrow.
Andrabi praised the Waqf Board officers and the Departmental in-charges for placing in all necessary arrangements.
Later, she discussed in detail the development plan of the Waqf Board for the Shahdra Sharief shrine.
“Many new initiatives of the Board will definitely update and upgrade the facilities at the Sufi Shrine shortly,” she said in a statement.
