Anantnag resident arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Dec 26: Bahu Fort police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a resident of District Anantnag and recovered 80 grams heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Bahu Fort Police Station intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 80 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Noor Mohammad, son of Ghulam Rasool, a resident of District Anantnag, Kashmir.
A case under FIR Number 322/18 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Vipan Chandran, SP South Vinay Kumar and DIG JKS Range/SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
