NEW DELHI, Oct 19: Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, has been named as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year 2013’ by Forbes India.
The jury, headed by K V Kamath, non-executive chairman of ICICI Bank, included Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman-India of McKinsey &
Co, Akhil Gupta, Chairman of Blackstone Advisors India, Ajit Rangnekar, Dean of the Indian School of Business, Zia Modi, Senior Partner, AZB Partners, and Raghav Bahl, Founder and Group Editor of Network18.
Chanda Kochhar, Managing Director and CEO, ICICI Bank, bagged the best CEO (Private sector) award, while best CEO award for public sector went to Rakesh Tandon of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
Francisco D’souza of Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp was adjudged as the Best CEO in Multinational Company category.
‘Start Up for the Year’ award went to Phanindra Sama of redBus, ‘Nextgen Entrepreneur for the Year’ to Tarang Jain of Varroc Engineering, ‘Entrepreneur with Social Impact’ to Ranjan Sharma of IKSL, ‘Conscious Capitalist Company for the year’ to Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) and ‘Woman Leader for the Year’ to Chitra Ramkrishna of National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.
Brijmohan Lall Munjal of Hero MotoCorp bagged the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award for the Year’ award. (UNI)
