Sir,
Amnesty International (AI) has slammed militants groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir for killing civilians.
There is no doubt that militants have made some selective civilian killings which include Sarpanchs as well. This action has sent shock waves across the State.
The killed people may have ideological difference with militants groups but these could have been ironed out through negotiations. The Amnesty International has rightly termed it as ‘Contempt for the fundamental principals of humanity.’
The militants groups should desist from killing innocent civilians in the future. Besides, the law of land does not allow such disruptive activities in the State. It advocates for security and welfare of its citizens. The Government too should take effective measures to strengthen security apparatus further and instil a sense of confidence among the people.
Yours etc…..
