JAMMU, Apr 21: The 14th executive meet was held between the office bearers of SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) under the chairmanship of its president, Dr Vikas Sharma at Main Campus Chatha, Jammu, in which Dr Amitesh Sharma and Dr Sanjay Kaushal were announced as new executives.
Dr Vikas announced in the meeting that for the smooth functioning of TAJ, Dr Amitesh Sharma, SMS (Plant Breeding) and Dr Sanjay Kaushal, SMS (Agronomy) will be the new executives from Research Station/KVK Doda (Bhaderwah) and KVK Reasi (Tanda), respectively. He further informed that these new executives were elected by their respective KVKs/Stations via secret ballot.
He urged the newly formed coalition Government to look into the issue of road connectivity of the university to the nearest town as the present road is in bad shape for the last few years.
Speedy disposal of genuine transfer cases, housing colony for the SKUAST teachers and Dr Arun Gupta Memorial Award were the other major issues discussed in the meeting.
