REASI, Aug 28: Regional Director, Survey & Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Reasi/Udhampur, Amit Sharma today chaired an extensive meeting of Revenue officers of Reasi district and reviewed the progress in implementation of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) in this hilly district.
Amit also reviewed the progress on writing of Jamabandis in each Tehsil of Reasi district and progress of each Revenue officer of the district besides listening to the bottlenecks being faced by them in meeting the deadlines.
Amit Sharma was briefed about the scanning work going-on in Reasi, which is the mandate of M/s RAMtech, who are the executors of this project in Reasi. In the first phase, only scanning of all the Revenue records of the district is to be conducted in both Reasi as well as Udhampur districts. Amit directed the exclusive team constituted for page marking and quality check to doubly ensure that the scanned data is error-free and properly numbered. Moreover, he quoted examples of computerized data in few States where people are facing challenges of faulty data coming out due to less professionalism exhibited during scanning stage and subsequently, the purpose behind computerization of land records in such States has got defeated.
Alongside, directions were issued by the Chair to Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars of Reasi to keep a personal check and tab to control the functioning of Revenue officials below their hierarchies, especially Patwaries of respective Patwar Halqas in Reasi for professional deliverance of their duties including provision of services at door-step to citizens rather than public chasing them for getting necessary works done. Amit also directed that daily progress must be updated using latest technology and networking mechanisms emails, WhatsApp official group which is the direction from top such as Chief Minister and Revenue Minister as well to bring total transparency and swiftness in working and heading towards creation of paperless work culture in the State.
The officers who attended the meeting, included Additional DC Reasi Babu Ram, ACR Reasi Harbans Sharma, Tehsildar Reasi Sanjeev, Tehsildar Katra Mohit Raina, Tehsildar Chand Singh, Naib Tehsildar RD, S&LR Office Karnail Singh, other Tehsildars and NaibTehsildars of Reasi district.
