Amit interacts with patients in GMC during night checking

Jammu, Dec 30: Amit Sharma, Administrator, Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals Jammu continued with night checking streak in all major medical institutions of Winter Capital Jammu wherein he had direct interaction with patients and directed all concerned for ensuring their well being and provisioning of requisite medical services to them especially during the night hours.
This time, Amit made a surprise visit to primarily Surgery and Medicine Wards of Government Medical College Hospital Jammu wherein he had a direct interaction with many patients and their attendants about the quality of arrangements, particularly regarding the provisioning of regular health services by the doctors and para medical staff there during the late evening and night hours.
Administrator was very particular while interacting with patients to know about the frequency of round of doctors, consultants and PGs and Interns on duty roster. He enquired how much comfortably and attentively their issues are being addressed and ailments getting treated there.
He keenly checked out if some private quacks are operating inside the wards to collect samples for the blood tests and also for radio diagnostic tests while interacting with them. He strictly warned that if any such malpractice is detected to be happening inside or outside the Wards or anywhere within all the Associated Hospitals of Jammu, strict action shall be taken against such erring staff and such offenders.
He also took a round of Emergency and Trauma Centre and apart from patients’ well being, he also interacted with Senior Residents and PGs on night duty and noted down the challenges they were facing while performing duties during odd hours which he assured to take-up with concerned HODs and Principal GMC for redressal at the earliest.
