LEH, Jan 3: With an objective of enhancing operational efficiency, Secretary Transport-cum-Transport Commissioner, Union Territory of Ladakh, Amit Sharma, today inspected the Motor Garage premises, including buildings, offices, sheds, workshops, stock stores, and surrounding areas.
Accompanied by Deputy Director of Motor Garage, UT Ladakh, Dr Tundup Namgyal, and his dedicated staff, Sharma delved into various aspects of the facilities to ensure top-notch performance and adherence to quality standards.
During the thorough inspection, Secretary Sharma underscored the imperative to upgrade infrastructure, issuing directives for the establishment of proper sheds within the departmental campus, aimed at providing an optimal environment for maintenance activities and vehicle storage.
With a keen eye for organization, Sharma instructed officers to systematically arrange mechanical parts on shelves, emphasizing the importance of testing and quality assurance for recharging materials. This commitment aligns with the overarching goal of fostering safety and reliability in motor garage operations.
A pivotal focus of the inspection was the fast-charging station, a crucial component in the ongoing modernization of transportation infrastructure. Sharma scrutinized the station to ensure its seamless functionality and alignment with the evolving needs of the region.
Highlighting the UT Administration’s dedication to achieving the highest standards of functionality and safety, Secretary Transport, Amit Sharma, stated that this inspection marks the inception of a series of initiatives aimed at modernizing and upgrading transport infrastructure to better serve the people of Ladakh.
