AMCCC for construction of more parking slots

JAMMU, Mar 15: All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) has demanded cancellation of contract of a private firm for lifting of vehicles from the city as the concerned firm was unnecessarily harassing the people by lifting their vehicles to mint money.
In a statement issued here, today the president AMCCC, Desh Rattan demanded that the SRO 242 of 2009 be revoked as the people are being put to lot of harassment by the said agency which picks up the vehicles unnecessarily and charges hefty amount from them for release.
He said the agency was violating the norms of the SRO 242 totally as the vehicles parked in parking zones and safe places are even being lifted to harass their owners.
AMCCC has made an appeal to Traffic Police to look into the problem otherwise AMCCC will resort to agitation.
The meeting demanded construction of more parking lots in Jammu. The meeting among others was attended by R L Sharma, Dalip Raina, Kuldeep Koul, Vinod Misri, C L Bhat, Bir Singh, Romesh Singh, B L Koul, Ashok Kumar, Shuban Ji Pandita, Naresh Kumar and others.
