JAMMU, Mar 7: All Migrant Camps Coordination Committee (AMCCC) held a workers meeting today in which various issues concerning the displaced Pandits ere discussed.
The meeting was chaired by Desh Rattan. It took the UP Government to task for withdrawal of sedition cases against those students who raised anti India and pro Pakistan slogans during a recent cricket match and said that this shows the weal policies of the Government in fighting the anti national elements.
The meeting took the Government to ask for throwing the long pending demands of the displaced people in limbo. The meeting urged the community to come on a single platform to face the challenges unitedly and also field their own candidates in the ensuing Lok Saba and coming Assembly elections.
The meeting demanded free power supply and other facilities to displaced Pandits, removal of encroachments and settling their other long pending demands. It also expressed shock over the manner the Government befooled the community on Shrines Bill.
R N Dhar, R L Sharma, K V and Dileep Ji while addressing the meeting said that AMCCC will hold a protest at Union Capital soon in support of the demands.
