SRINAGAR, Apr 19: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Kangan Mian Altaf Ahmed has expressed his strong resentment over the worsening power scenario in Kangan constituency.
In a statement, Mian Altaf said that the several areas of Kangan constituency are forced to reel under darkness as the transformers installed in these areas got damaged and are lying in the workshops for want of repairs since more than a month now.
He said that the Government has failed to release funds to the workshop owners due to which they have gone on strike and stopped any repairement work resulting in massive inconvenience and hardships to the people, adding that the Government seems helpless before the situation.
Mian Altaf urged the Administration as well as the PDD authorities to immediately take steps to repair the damaged transformers as soon as possible so that the electricity is restored in the areas.
