NEW DELHI, Nov 29: Almond gurbandi and girdhi prices rose up to Rs 200 per 40 kg in the national capital today largely on the back of increased buying by retailers and stockists driven by ongoing marriage season amidst low stocks following fall in supplies from overseas markets.
Almond gurbandi and girdhi prices increased up to Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 8,200-8,400 and Rs 6,500-6,600 per 40 kg, respectively.
Almond california and its kernel prices also rose by Rs 100 and Rs 5 to traded higher at Rs 19,000 per 40 kg and Rs 675-685 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said fresh buying by retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from overseas markets, mainly pushed up almond prices on the dry fruit market here.
