JAMMU, Jan 12: A meeting of All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union was held here today under the chairmanship of Vijay Kumar Gupta, its chairman.
The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members of the Union. During the course of meeting discussions were held in connection with implementation of SRO 59 of 1990 read with SRO 381 of 1981 and government order number 270 PDD of 1996.
Besides, the deliberations were also held over Government order No 78-PDD of 1995 where sanction has been accorded for rationalization of pay scales of different categories of employees of PDD.
The Union has appealed the general employees of PDD not to fall prey of false and fake commitments of some vested interests who have been misleading and misguiding the employees. The meeting said that in case they have any confusion they can go through the circular issued by Chief Engineer, Electric Maintenance and RE Wing, Jammu vide his No: CEJ/Admn (DPC)/SRO-59/1419-51 and in case the employees have any further confusion they can consult the Union in this regard.
The Union has also appealed its members and employees of PDD that in case they have any confusion about Ex-gratia Welfare Fund and Janta Insurance, they can seek any clarification from the Union as the copies of said orders are lying in the records of the Union.
The Union has also appealed the executive engineers of PDD of Jammu province for implementing the Circular directions issued by the CE M & RE Wing of Jammu.
