JAMMU, May 2: Alexa-nder Memorial School, Residency Road, Jammu organized Annual Investiture Ceremony of the Students’ Council in School Campus, here today.
Sakina Bano, Coordinator, Minority Commission of J&K was the chief guest on the occasion, while Udai Singh, Presbyter-in-Charge, St Paul’s Church, Jammu, SM Gill, Ex-MLC and Victor John were the guests of honour.
Earlier, Principal of the School Esther Williams presented welcome address.
After the customary prayer by Rev Uai Singh, the School choir presented a welcome song.
All the members of the Students’ Council led by Master Christon Gill, Head Boy and Sahar Jaan, Head Girl took the oath of allegiance, obedience and loyalty.In their short speeches, they pledged to take the School to pinnacles of new heights.
The eight House Captains included Chahat Sharma and Carol (Youngson House), Ronald William and Insha (Hutchison House), Mohd Aithsham and Ishiqa Gupta (Alexander House) and Abraham Victor and Saleeka (William House). All of them alongwith the Head Boy and Head Girl respective sashes and respective House badges on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest urged the Council members to uphold the values of honesty, integrity and loyalty while performing their duties.
