JAMMU, Apr 15: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference president, Anil Sharma today laid foundation stone of additional infrastructure of Higher Secondary School Jindrah amounting Rs 52 lakh that includes additional class rooms, art and craft room, Science Laboratory and Library for the school.
On this occasion, AJKPC president who is also the Sarpanch of Panchayat Halqa Jindrah informed that the request for sanction of amount for raising additional infrastructure of the school was pending with the government and after sincere intervention of Arun Manhas, Project Director of SAMAGRA Shiksha J&K the amount of Rs 51.72 lakh is approved and the construction work started. He also thanked Executive Engineer Mehmood Ahmed, AEE Mohd, Qasim and Avinash Gupta of Construction wing of the department.
Sharma also informed that as a portion of Higher Secondary School Jindrah is under occupation of Degree College Jindrah as the College has not yet shifted in new building therefore, there was accommodation problem and this additional infrastructure would help the students and the college staff.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion AJKPC president said education is the only tool with which a citizen can not only write and craft his own future but also of whole nation.
He also called for a fair competition between the political leaders and parties on the issues of development and support to vulnerable section of the society rather than indulging in religion based politics.
On this occasion, Chander Mohan, Principal of the School was also present and addressed the gathering. Dr Sunil Sharma, Onkar Singh, Som Dutt, Vishal Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Dewan Chand, Sardar Ali, Junayat Ali, Raj Kumar, Pawan Kumar and others also attended the program.
