Officers allotted Vibrant border villages

JAMMU, Apr 27: Seventy senior officers, including IAS and JKAS, have been assigned specific border villages to oversee the implementation of Vibrant Villages Programme-II, launched by the Government to ensure comprehensive and sustainable development of villages along International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC).

These officers shall undertake field visits to the allotted Vibrant Villages, review the status of infrastructure, service delivery and implementation of ongoing schemes. They will also identify the gaps in critical sectors, including connectivity, health, education, livelihoods and digital access.
The visiting officers will interact with local stakeholders, Border Guarding Forces and civil society organization. They will also ensure convergence of Central and Union Territory sector schemes.
Deputy Commissioners have been directed to facilitate these field visits and extend necessary logistical and administrative support, while all line departments have been asked to provide full cooperation.
These officers will submit a detailed report to the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department by June 30, 2026.
