RAJOURI, June 17: As a part of ongoing 11 day awareness campaign, All Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Union (AJKKU) organised meetings at Teryath and Chingus.
Addressing the gathering, Ashok Sharma, Chairman, AJKKU, demanded creation of tehsil and setting-up of a Degree college at Teryath in Kalakote and also demanded establishment of community health centre and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Chingus.
Sharma stressed for formulating a comprehensive tourism plan for Rajouri and Poonch districts in view of tremendous tourism potential to ensure rapid economic development and generating employment avenues for the youth of these border districts.
He also emphasized for developing airports in Rajouri and Poonch districts besides ensuring early rail connectivity to these districts.
Among others who spoke were Hans Raj, vice president, Balwant Singh, Roshan Din, Sham Lal, Vinod, Behari Lal, Kamal Singh, Ajay Kumar, etc.
