JAMMU, Feb 17: Ajay Khajuria, who recently retired as Director, Agriculture, Jammu, has been appointed Registrar of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University for a period of three years or until he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.
The notification to appoint Mr. Khajuria has been issued by Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Vice Chancellor of the University with the approval of Chancellor of the University, N.N. Vohra, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
A post graduate in Mathematics from University of Jammu, Mr. Khajuria has also obtained a P.G. Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management from the University of Rajasthan and a Masters Degree in Advanced Professional Studies from the University of Edinburgh, UK.
Having served as Director, Agriculture, Jammu, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Director Tourism, Jammu, and held other responsible assignments during his illustrious career, Mr. Khajuria brings rich administrative experience to his new assignment.
Mr. Khajuria will take over charge from Roop Avtar Kaur, who after serving for more than four years in the post will revert to the Forest Department for a posting in her parent organisation.
