JAMMU, May 15: All India Students Federation (AISF) Unit J&K today met Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof RD Sharma.
The delegation was led by National general secretary Vishwajeet Kumar and State president Mukesh Parihar.
In the meeting AISF raised different issues including increase in number of regular seats in JU and its allied campuses, permanent staff, hostel facility, sport infrastructure and equipment in all colleges.
While speaking Vishwajeet Kumar appealed to the VC to democratize and activise the students activities in the campus and fulfill the rights of the students. He also urges the VC to provide adequate staff to all the colleges to raise educational standard.
Mukesh Parihar stressed on the issue that the new JUET pattern is unacceptable to the student community and laid emphasis on the increase in regular seats in the University. Besides this he stressed to start PG classes in Doda campus of the Jammu University.
Among others present were Pankaj Sharma, Nittan Shan, Sanjay Kotwal and Ranbir Bandral.
