JAMMU, Apr 25: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has demanded immediate start of work on bore wells in Jagti township to rid of water crisis.
The AIMCCC which met here, today under the leadership of its chairman, Desh Rattan Pandita said that former Advisor to Governor, B B Vyas had given an assurance to Jagti inmates in this regard and he had sanctioned Rs 7 crore for the same also but on the ground no work was under taken.
The meeting among others was attended by B K Raina, M M Kant, M L Boni, P N Jalali, Raj Kumar, Chandra Dhar, Meenu Misri, Priya and Shadi Lal Bhat said that they have also given a memorandum to Advisor to Governor, incharge Relief and Rehabilitation departments and appealed him to issue directives to concerned officers regarding starting of work on construction of bore wells.
The meeting demanded that migrants should be given benefits under Ayushman Bharat scheme and the facilities be provided immediately 40 bedded Jagti Hospital.
The meeting demanded launching of sanitation drive in the Jagti township and removing of filth garbage from drains etc. It also demanded removal of encroachments from KPs encroached land in Valley with release of balance ex-gratia and compensation for damaged properties. The meeting appealed KPs from Kulgam,Shopian and Pulwama to enmass cast their vote for their favorable party and candidate on the election day.
