JAMMU, Dec 7: J&K Graduate Promotes Agriculture Officers Association (JKGPAOA) and Jammu Kashmir Agriculture Technocrat’s Association (JKATA) Jammu have decided to jointly launch agitation for seeking reddressal of their pending issues.
A meeting the representatives of both the organization of Agriculture Department officials was held in the Office of JKGPAOA, Talab Tillo Jammu today where in, it was stressed the need to join hand for launching collective struggle. It was highlighted in the meeting that Jammu Kashmir Agriculture Production Department (JKAPD) has totally failed to stream line department at all levels for the last 35 years.
The core unaddressed issues which were discussed in the joint meeting included, non-filling up of promotes vacancies for last about 35 years, pending finalization of seniority of all cadres since more than three decades, adoption of temporary promotion system on pick and choose basis thereby ignoring rules, norms eligibility and seniority since decades, practice of assignment of multi- post charge to one officer without considering requisite qualification in violation of rules/ norms.
JKATA president Surinder Radotra revealed that in shocking violation of SRO-375 Dated 21-20-2019, JKAPD has convened DPC of 104 number AEAs (Divisional Cadre post) to JAEO level (State Cadre Post) for Kashmir Division in which neither the Director Agriculture Jammu (HOD, Jammu Division) who is designated member of DPC for promotions of State level post of JAEO’s, has been involved, nor the eligible meritorious genuine conditions of Jammu Division have been considered for promotion. Such apathetic stance of Administration have spread a deep wave of shock among entire community of the AEAs of Jammu division.
All the Union members unanimously invited the attention of Lt. Governor GC Murmu to issue directions for revocation of impugned Promotions made vide Agriculture Order No.377 & 378/Estt of 2019 dated, 05-11-2019 issued by Director of Agriculture Kashmir in favour of AEAs, of Kashmir Division only and to conceal the mischief, the orders were not even uploaded on Official web site of the Director Agriculture, Kashmir.
They also demanded constitution of high powered enquiry committee comprising Officers of high reputation from outside Union Territory of J&K, to investigate the wrong doings going on in Agriculture Department since more than three decades.
