SRINAGAR, Oct 1: Responsibilities of police have increased manifold and it has become imperative to upgrade training infrastructure, besides framing the syllabus, fulfiling the present requirement.
This was staked by Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Trainings PHQ, Navin Agarwal during his visit to Police Training School Manigam (PTS) here today. He said that maintenance of law and order is one of the focussed areas of Jammu and Kashmir Police and it is imperative in the present scenario to introduce latest training skills in all police training institutions in the State. Crime control and investigation techniques are vital part of the training which are being given priority, said Mr. Agarwal.
During his visit, Mr. Agarwal addressed a Darbar of pass outs, who completed their basis training course from the institution. He asked the pass outs that after completing their basic training they have to perform professional duties and represent themselves in the field as representative of the Organization by delivering at different levels and maintaining better relations with the public.
On the occasion, the pass outs demonstrated skills of special training they have been imparted during their basic course. ADGP stressed upon them to exhibit dedication and valour in every field of policing, providing justice and security to the people and their property. He said that people have great faith in JKP and it is our prime responsibility to keep up their expectations.
Mr. Agarwal also convened a meeting of officers and training staff of the institution to discuss various issues pertaining to the improvements in training procedures and up-gradation of infrastructure. He said that the Organization has been focusing on different aspects of training to aquatint the personnel about modern skills of policing. All the training institutions would be provided required infrastructure and manpower to get desired results, he added.
Earlier, the Principal of PTS Hasseb-ur-Rehman briefed the ADGP about training activities being carried out in the institution.
