JAMMU, Jan 11: A meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee, under the chairmanship of MP Jammu, Jugal Kishore Sharma, was held at Jammu airport in the presence of Kavinder Gupta, Speaker & MLA Gandhi Nagar, D K Gautam, Airport Director, Jammu, Kr Rajeev Ranjan, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu and other committee members belonging to Tourism, Travel and Chamber of Commerce .
Important issues related to the development of Jammu airport were discussed viz. allotment of land in Beli Charana for development of New Terminal Building, Extension of Runway, extension of watch hours and other passenger facility were deliberated in detail.
DC Jammu appraised the house about completion of all pre requisite works desired by Army for handing over of land for runway extension. Similarly for development of new Civil Air Terminal on Beli Charana side, it was informed by DC Jammu that shifting of Animal Husbandry Department infrastructure is in progress on very fast pace and land will be handed over to AAI soon. Various other issues related to facilitation and conveniences were also discussed in details.
Prior to meeting, new conference hall in terminal building was also inaugurated by MP Jugal Kishore and Kavinder Gupta. Jugal Kishore Sharma and Kavinder Gupta termed the meeting very important and fruitful and assured their support for the development of Jammu airport.
