Advisor Khan calls for imbibing moral values, patriotism in students

JAMMU, Sept 3: Advisor to Governor Farooq Khan today called for imparting moral education in schools.
“To build a strong nation, a sense of patriotism, social services, character building and leadership qualities must be developed among children in the schools”, Khan said in his  inaugural address at the 44th Annual Day function of Balgran- A Charitable Home for Destitute Children here at Channi Rama.
He said there is need to incorporate innovative practices, community-based activities and out-of-box thinking to effectively implement reforms in creating knowledgeable society.
He appealed to the management of the school to remove the destitute word as the inmates are the children of India adding that it is a glimpse of true India where irrespective of cast, creed and region management is giving love and affection to these children.
He complimented all office bearers and other members associated with the school and said that their   efforts are resulting in the success stories of these students and wished best of luck for institution and students. He assured the management to provide all possible help to this noble organization.
Earlier, President of the School A.K Khajuria welcomed the Advisor and highlighted the achievements of the students. He said that students of the school have attained 100% results in 8th and 10th class board examinations declared in 2019. He also put forth some demands in order to provide better facilities to the children and smooth and functioning of the school.
The students also presented colourful cultural programme which made the audience spellbound.
Others present were Patron Er. A.K Arora, Vice- President V.D Sharma, Vice- president U.K Bhat, V.K Raina Secretary, Members of the Governing Body, Office Bearers, faculty members and students of the school.
