JAMMU, Apr 30: Concerned over the early damages to roads, particularly in snow prone areas, Jammu and Kashmir Government should introduce Soil Stabilisation Method (SSM) on the pattern of European technology.
This was said by Congress MLA from Inderwal, GM Saroori while inspecting two vital road projects including Thathri-Phigsoo and Thathri Cheera roads in Sub-Division Thathri, district Doda.
To ensure durability and check early damages caused to the roads, particularly, in snow prone areas of the State, Saroori called upon State Government to introduce SSM on the pattern of European technology for macadamizing roads, which would not only increase life cycle of the roads but also save Rs 5 to 6 lakh per kilometer approximately.
