POONCH, Jan 30: The District Administration has directed to vacate the National Conference office building in Mendhar town within two days.
Official sources said that on the directions of the District Administration, Poonch Tehsildar Mendhar/ Executive Magistrate issued a notice to the Block president, National Conference, Mendhar, asking him to vacate the Government building being used as office of the National Conference Party within two days.
Reports said that the office was being run by the National Conference in a government quarter, which was allotted to the then MLA Javed Ahmed Rana. A written notice has been pasted on the outer wall of the office of National Conference near Yadghar Chowk in the Mendhar town by the office of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class/ Tehsildar Mendhar, in which it has been clearly written that you have occupied the government building and running office of National Conference which should be vacated within two days otherwise appropriate action will be taken against you.
SDM Mendhar said that in Mendhar sub-division many government buildings have been occupied by some people in which more than five political parties are there. He said that on the instructions of the higher officials, everyone has to vacate the quarters. If they do not cooperate, the Government has to get these buildings vacated.
