Aditya Bhanu’s Ghonsla staged at K L Saigal Hall

JAMMU, June 1: Prayas Natya Manch staged it’s inaugural short play at K L Seghal hall here. The play ‘Ghonsla’, has been written and directed by Aditya Bhanu Sharma.
The play came out to be a moving commentary on present day social reality wherein grown up children in search of better financial opportunities are moving out of country to leave behind old parents.
The plot of the play revolves around one such old and lonely pensioner. Who is reminiscing how his two foreign settled sons, despite empty promises, have failed to visit him for the past twelve years. When one day he receives letter from his sons to send money as they are facing financial hardship, the old man, as a dutiful father, decides to sell his house, his ‘Ghonsla’, and prepares to shift to old age home.
In the end, a business man comes out to help him in a very different manner as he becomes a thief and plays a game with the old man and gives him the required money for his need.
The artists who performed  in the play were Anuroop Pathania and Prabal Sharma, while music was handled by Varun Sharma and lights executed by Ashish Bhat.
Vikram Randhawa MLC was the chief guest on the occasion whereas  Urja singh, president of The Performer  and  Balram Saini(Chief Bureau) Punjab Kesari presided over the occasion as guests of honour.
On the occasion Prayas Natya Manch also announced its executive body with Rajesh Thakur (chief patron), Anuroop Pathania (chairman), Prabal Sharma (President), Manpreet Kour (general secretary), Surya Chandan (vice president), Aaditya Bhanu(organising secretary), Paras Churungoo (PRO) and Ashwani Bhola (cashier).
