ADGP takes stock of measures to contain COVID, distributes scooties

RAJOURI, May 15: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh reviewed the functioning of District Police here today and also took stock of preparedness and measures to contain the spread of second wave of Coronavirus.
He also took stock of preventive measures being taken for the police personnel deployed at sensitive places.
ADGP was accompanied by DIG of Police Poonch-Rajouri Range Vivek Gupta.
During his visit to district Rajouri, the ADGP held meeting with senior police officers and reviewed the functioning of district police.
He appreciated the role of police for working day and night. He specially appreciated the effective implementation of lockdown and enforcement of COVID protocol.
Later, ADGP reviewed the arrangements being made at quarantine centers.
SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi Qasba gave the detailed briefing to ADGP about the preparedness and measures taken against the fight of second wave COVID-19 in the district.
To make women police more effective in this crucial phase of COVID-19, ADGP Jammu Zone distributed eight scooties among them in a simple ceremony while following COVID protocol.
ADGP expressed that this effort of police will definitely provide a helping hand to the women folk of District Rajouri who cannot reach to police stations during the pandemic.
Earlier, ADGP Jammu Zone held meeting with Commander 93 Brigade and DC Poonch. He also visited to Police COVID care centre and praised the facilities available at COVID care of district Police Poonch.
